The purpose of this study is to understand the difference between how well men and women can recognise faces.

 

If you agree to participate you will be presented with trials that work like a police line-up.

 

Each trial consists of six faces: they will appear on the screen one at a time for one second, there will then be a short interval and a final face will appear.

 

You have to answer YES or NO as to whether the final face was in the original line up. All you need to do is tick the correct answer in the box to the right of the faces. Be alert as the faces might have a different expression than in the original line up, or might be facing a different way.
